Femi Coo, Au.D
Femi Coo joined the Ear Nose and Throat Institute in 2018. A native to Ghana, West Africa, Femi moved to the U.S.A in 2007 to pursue an undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at Northwestern University. After his sophomore year, however, a summer-long stint in The Auditory research lab at Northwestern University would ultimately change the course of his career. During his time in the lab, Femi fell in love with the profession of Audiology, and in the fall of 2012, he enrolled in Northwestern’s accelerated Doctor of Audiology program.
While obtaining his clinical doctorate, Femi continued to participate in research, completing projects in Northwestern Univerity’s Auditory Research lab and Hearing Aid lab. Femi also received awards for his participation in student Audiology professional groups including the American Academy of Audiology Sadan and Singh Memorial Scholarship, the American Speech- Language and Hearing Minority Student Leadership program and the American Doctors of Audiology 2014 national Student Business Plan competition, which he won.
Aside from his devotion to hearing care and the profession of Audiology, Dr. Coo is also a fitness enthusiast and is always excited to discuss work-out plans and healthy diets with friends and family.
