Dr. Jeffrey M. Gallups is the Founder and Medical Director of the ENT Institute. Dr. Gallups is a double board certified physician specializing in nasal and sinus disorders. His certifications include the American Board of Facial and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Gallups holds the highest position of designation as Fellow in three acclaimed societies: the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Gallups received his doctorate of medicine from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his internship at the University of Alabama and his residency at Emory University. Subsequently, he completed an Emory-affiliated fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Thereafter, Dr. Gallups joined the full-time faculty at Emory University School of Medicine/Emory Clinic as director of the Sinus Center. He is a medical staff member at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Emory- Adventist Hospital, Northside Hospital, and Windy Hill Hospital.
Upon finishing residency and fellowship training in 1995, Dr. Jeffrey Gallups founded the Ear, Nose and Throat Institute. Since that time, he has become recognized as a business leader in his field. The ENT Institute, with 16 Atlanta area locations is a practice of board certified otolaryngologists, allergists, speech pathologists and audiologists that includes ancillary services.
The ENT Institute offers a one-stop solution for patients who receive multiple treatments from multiple doctors under one roof, saving the patient time and money. This Atlanta ENT doctor has met the challenges of modern medicine by combining quality care practices with innovative business solutions. Today the ENT Institute is the largest ear, nose and throat practice of its kind in the southeast and was recently named as one of Forbes 25 Best Small Companies in America. Currently, Dr. Gallups spends a portion of his time in practice development of other physicians, making him a respected entrepreneur among his peers.
Dr. Gallups has set aside his scalpel to follow his entrepreneurial vision of creating a healthcare model that actually works for patients, physicians and Insurers. Utilizing his success as a healthcare consumer advocate, Dr. Gallups has been featured in the New York Times and the Washington Post, as well as often speaking on the ever changing healthcare system in the United States. He is regularly called upon by fellow physicians for his expertise in practice development, earning him a reputation as a respected business leader among his peers. For several years he was the host of a weekly healthcare consumerism show, ‘Doc Talk with Doctor Jeffrey Gallups’, which aired on one of Atlanta’s top radio stations.
Dr. Gallups does not practice medicine currently but chooses to spend his time developing The ENT Institute and assisting independent ENT doctors in developing their practices.
